Film ID System, Model 531
The Film-ID model 531 unit provides a mechanism for the X-Ray technician to permanently record patient information and exposure settings data on X-Ray film cassettes.

X-Ray equipment exposure settings data may be automatically captured from the X-Ray equipment or may be manually entered and permanently recorded on the mammography film by using the Livingston Products film flasher.
The Livingston Products Model 531 Film ID System is the most economical and efficient mammography film flasher on the market today and the Livingston flashers have been widely accepted in the field for more than 14 years.
The film image has key patient information recorded in large font, making visual selection of films simpler. The data content of the film label can be customized at the clinical site.
More than 25 X-Ray machine formats are currently supported by the 531. X-Ray machine interface cable kits are available to handle the physical characteristics of X-Ray machine connections.
Livingston Products has extensive experience in updating the Film ID’s protocol translation software to accommodate new, or updated X-ray systems.
Support for all X-Ray machine types is included in every 531 unit -- the machine type and communications characteristics are field selectable. A simple menu driven configuration mechanism is built in to the unit.
Patient information may be manually entered, retrieved from a large (>24,000 patients) internal database, retrieved from an external DICOM server. The Livingston Products film flasher includes a large internal worklist that can be loaded from an external source making it perfect for the small, or mobile, clinic.
View sequence preferences for up to 20 technologists can be defined on a per-technologist basis, minimizing the manual input required to perform routine examinations. Each technologist can have multiple view sequences associated.
Film label exposure time and contrast adjustments are built into the film stamper, allowing sites to produce a clear mammography image regardless of the film type.
The Film-ID 531 includes an easy to read backlighted LCD display and a full function keyboard. It provides both USB and RS232 (serial) interfaces for a host computer. A separate RS232 interface is provided for an X-Ray machine.
